question on my DIY A7-500 of many years past,,

just pulled the crossover out and posted a question on it,, was tapping the cabinet and boy can it generate some weird tones depending on where ya thump it,, can see it is in need of some form of bracing or additional layers,, compared to the SVS sub I have which when tapped is like hitting a chunk of concrete,,

thought that true 3/4" plywood from the mid 1960s would have been tougher than it is,,

was looking in the search area but did not find what most thought the best recommendation was for over-all cabinet strengthening,, any new ideas,,??

My suggestion is double it and brace it as much as possible. A big chore, but pays off big, too. OSB can work well, if you can't afford good ply.

But at least brace the thing. Horizontal braces across the flats and 1 or 2 from side to side.
